"As the first half of 2017 comes to a close we continue to see strong gains in the market as a whole. The S&P 500 continues to climb, up 7.3% since the start of the year. The Specialty Distribution sector, however, has had certain subsectors outperform the broader market while others have fallen behind. The Technology and Healthcare subsectors have both outperformed the broader economy, recording stock price gains of 11.6% and 10.0% since the beginning of the year while Building & Construction distribution grew at 4.3%. Meanwhile, Industrial Distribution, Consumer Food, and Automotive Distribution have all declined since the beginning of the year."
