Mr. Newman directs the valuation and fairness opinion practice at Shields & Company, Inc. He has over 30 years experience in valuations and in corporate finance matters. Mr. Newman has been qualified as an expert witness and has testified in court numerous times. In addition, he advises on mergers and acquisitions and on capital-raising assignments. Prior to joining Shields & Company, Inc., he founded and directed KPMG’s New England Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
In the fall, he can be found officiating college and high school football games. Mr. Newman is also active in coaching youth basketball for the town of Walpole, Massachusetts.
Mr. Newman holds the following FINRA registrations: Series 7, 63, and 79.
