She is a former vice president in the corporate banking groups of Irving Bancorp and Citicorp. She was also an investment officer with Cabot, Cabot, and Forbes, Boston. Mrs. Shields is currently president of the Boston Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and serves on the boards of private companies.

Prior to joining Shields & Company in 1998, Mr. White was an associate with TM Capital Corp., a New York-based investment banking boutique. He began his career as a financial analyst with Barclay Bank's BZW division in the high-technology group. Mr. White holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
